Clear aligners are custom-made trays designed to straighten teeth by applying gentle, constant pressure to them over a period of time.
At the beginning of the process, Dr. Roth will take a scan of your teen's mouth. Using this scan, he can create a digital rendering of the teeth, and chart how they need to shift throughout the clear aligner treatment process to achieve the desired results.
Then, a series of custom clear aligners will be made to fit your teen's mouth at every stage of their transformation. Each aligner plays a specific role in the process of straightening the teeth, and is worn for about two weeks. After that time, it is then switched out for the next one in the series until the end of treatment.
